As you may know Leishmania is a disease caused by the Sand Fly attacking the uncovered area of the body!
To speak about SARC role in this respect, we can say that SARC in cooperation with ICRC has provided:
– 200,000 special Bed Net distributed mainly in Aleppo governorate
100,000 to Aleppo and rural Aleppo
50,000 to Hassake
10,000 to Dmeir
25,000 to Rural Hama
and 6 SARC clinics were distributed to different regions of Rural Aleppo which is the most affected region
All the Leishmania medicines were provided to these clinics after training the health staff on the way to treat this disease in addition to awareness campaigns for affected areas, IDP’s and inside the shelters.
