Musaab is training his eldest son in his profession of installing solar panels, which he has been doing for 14 years. The local demand for solar panels has increased due to the shortage and high price of other energy resources, and because solar panels are environmentally and health-friendly.
Musaab, who used to work in the field of electrical energy, switched to clean energy. However, he was forced to stop working after he and his family were displaced from Khan Shaykhun in rural Idlib. After four years, they were able to return home, and a grant from the Syrian Arab Red Crescent helped him recover his tools.
The grant restored Musaab’s source of income, allowing him to meet the needs of his family of eight and continue educating his children.
The Syrian Arab Red Crescent also supports small projects needed for the recovery of returnees and affected areas, with support from the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Musaab hopes to expand his project and provide job opportunities to those who need them after training them. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent‘s support for projects that use alternative energy helps mitigate pollution and preserve the environment.
