Damascus Governorate received the first batch of anti rodents and harmful insects materials, the given materials by ICRC are 1 of 3 batches as part of the Governorate needs , DMU water and sanitation team has accompanied to the receipt of materials and accompany them on a mission to carry out spraying in the landfill in the area Bab Sharqi and regions Barzah.
Insect and rodent control is the most important priorities to (SARC- ICRC) joint team, where the spread of many infectious diseases and epidemics in densely populated areas because of rodents and insects carrying germs, the joint team set an emergency plan include all the Governorates to secure the needs of municipalities and Governorates materials used in the spraying process and follow-up and implementation of the accompany missions with municipalities and facilitate the transfer and delivery of materials as needed in each governorate .
