– The Syrian Arab Red Crescent teams as well as the UN accompanied the humanitarian aid convoy today that is headed to Eastern Ghouta with the facilitations of the Syrian Government and having received the approvals in less than 24 hours.
The mentioned 7 truck convoy carried 50 tons of relief non-food items (blankets, kitchen kits, and tents); in addition to medicines and medical supplies donated from the French government to support the Syrian people which SARC has received on July 21st 2018.
The aid was distributed to the beneficiaries in Eastern Ghouta after having organized and sorted the mentioned aid accordingly from the SARC warehouses.
“We welcome every humanitarian initiative that aims to ease the suffering of the most vulnerable people throughout Syria which have witnessed difficult conditions over the past years,” contributed Engineer Hboubati, SARC President; and added by saying “In collaboration with our partners we do our utmost to try to ease the suffering of the most vulnerable people, and we have distributed hundreds of tons of humanitarian aid; both food and non-food throughout Syria.”
Until June 2018, more than 41 humanitarian convoys have been delivered by SARC reaching 1.75 million beneficiaries in different areas including 300,000 in Eastern Ghouta and in shelters.
In correspondence with the humanitarian convoys to different areas in Daraa during this month, the SARC volunteers continued their humanitarian response missions in rural Homs, rural Hama, Deir Ezzor, Idleb, Raqa, Aleppo, and the families coming from Ifrin, Foaa, and Kefraya
