Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) in cooperation with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) held its first workshop on the geographic information system on 24- 28/9/2017.
17 information management coordinators from SARC- HQ and branches participated in the workshop.
The opening session included an induction to basics of the geographic information system, while other sessions discussed topics on data resources, queries, analysis, referencing and projection.
The workshop was concluded with a practical application using SARC data.
