During the first half of April 2017, SARC’s Disasters Management Unit – Damascus Branch distributed a total of 3350 hygiene kit for special needs at the Maysat center in Damascus.
The kits were supported by German Red Cross to reach beneficiaries of 850 new baby borns and 2,500 elderly, in addition to 350 health baskets provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The distribution process was carried out according to a follow-up mechanism in order ensure the health status of the beneficiary and the efficiency of needs matching, which contribute to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable people according to the principles of the International Movement of the Red Cross Red Crescent Societies.
