SARC – Aleppo health promotion team in collaboration with SSSD concluded a series of educating sessions on hepatitis A at Elia Abo Madi School (a sheltering center) in Al-Jabiriya.
Sessions targeted 38 mothers sheltering at the school to educate them on Hepatitis A symptoms, means of transmission and prophylaxis. Volunteers also held awareness-raising activities for 128 children on diarrheal diseases and the importance of hands washing.
It is worth mentioning that activities of the health promotion program are carried out in collaboration with UNICEF.
