As a part of the ongoing response to control lice outbreak all over Aleppo city, health promotion team of SARC – Aleppo has conducted an awareness campaign on lice in Bustan Al-Qasr.
The campaign was held over 18 days and targeted all the neighborhood’s schools with awareness raising sessions on lice’s means of transmission, prevention and treatment as well as using the lice treatment shampoo. Sessions were held for students, teachers, management staff and parents of infected children.
The campaign also included distributing bottles of lice treatment shampoo, and awareness raising leaflets, and hanging posters on lice in every classroom.
The number of beneficiaries at schools amounted to 2250 students and 250 teachers and staff.
A total of 2500 shampoo bottles and 2500 leaflets were distributed.
