As summer approaches and insects spreads due to accumulation of rubbish, health promotion team of SARC – Aleppo held a raising awareness campaign on leishmaniasis in Al-Sawda Buildings in Al-Hamdaniya.
The campaign included raising awareness for 197 women and involved sessions on leishmaniasis’ symptoms, means of transmission and prophylaxis. It also involved distributing mosquito nets supported by Oxfam to benefitted families. Total number of beneficiaries reached 1007 individuals.
It is worth to mention that health promotion program is carried out in collaboration with UNICEF.
