Job purpose:
This position is responsible for performing intermediate, paraprofessional and administrative work assisting in researching, coordinating and managing Community Services & Protection Unit. The incumbent independently handles a variety of assignments and problems dealing effectively with normally encountered work situations. The work requires inside and outside contacts on matters requiring cooperation, explanation and persuasion. The work is subject to general policy direction, practices and procedure with general supervisory review. The incumbent participates with and may supervise others in program development and service delivery.
Job duties and responsibilities:
· Assists the Community Services & Protection Unit Manager in coordinating and managing social services programs that serve the community in areas of information/referral, emergency assistance, language skills, youth development, crisis intervention · Assists the Community Services & Protection Unit Manager in his/her role as the (contact) between SARC branches. · Assists staff with the tracking of internal program outputs and outcomes, including the tracking of qualitative and quantitative data to generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Analyses the processes and recommends service and efficiency improvements · Performs and coordinates community needs assessments and strategic and long-range planning on an ongoing basis. Drafts reports based on community needs gap and gaps analysis. · Works with civic groups, parent and student groups and other community organizations in assessing and determining social service needs and desires and implements programs and services to serve those identified needs. · Researches best practices and benchmarks services provided by other jurisdictions, non-profit and the private sector, recommends, and implements improvements to SARC services delivery where appropriate. · Performs data analysis and interpretation for varied Donors. · Manages Database, Analyses and reports in the Emergency cases in order to be the process and implements service are efficiency improvements. · Monitors Caregivers Grants, performs site visits and assessments, writes reports, provides feedback to non-profits; provides contract administration. Provides technical assistance to grantees. · Assists with compiling of data and reports from non-profits organizations, and is responsible for monitoring outputs, outcomes, and results. · Prepares informational materials for outreach.

Position Requirements
Education and Training Required Preferred
· Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, social work, sociology, public,
business administration or closely related field from an accredited
university or college X
Experience Required Preferred
· At least 3 years of experience of progressively responsible work in public or business administration, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. X
· Knowledge of methods, principles and techniques associated with
research, data collection, and report preparation X
· Knowledge of the principals and practices of grant applications,
and grant administration. X
Knowledge and Skills Required Preferred
· Knowledge of the operation of a wide variety of government aid,
welfare, health, and recreation resources and programs. X
· Skill in grant writing; basic research and surveying techniques; data
analysis; and community analysis. X
· Skills in monitoring and reporting both in Arabic & English. Solid
and tested analytical skills and ability to write and type effectively
in Arabic & English. X
· Ability to compile and report information in a clear and concise
manner. X
· Ability to travel inside
and outside the country. X
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
with representatives of various government agencies and private
organizations, employees and the general public. X
Languages and IT Skills
· Very Good in English is essential, both written and spoken. X
· Skill in oral and written communication in English. X
· Excellent skill in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
