The Humanitarian Support Project at Ekremah Community Center in Homs, funded by the #UNHCR.Syria completed 2 Community based initiatives to rehabilitate 2 gardens “Al-Batoul” and “Jarousha” with the help and support of the residents that full heartedly suggested the initiatives to provide a safe haven for children and seniors.

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent- HSP volunteers of the CBI program added 9 benches to increase the number of visitors. Furthermore, fixed all the damaged benches by adding to them wooden planks and steel to strengthen their support, to keep the Park visitors and specially children safe from any dangers that might arise. The rehabilitation tackled as well the fences, children games and as well, the addition of small garbage bins to keep the parks clean.

It’s estimated that the number of both parks’ visitors will reach 200 and more than 300 children a day.
