Hygiene promotion team in #Aleppo branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent finished the Leishmaniasis Awareness campaign. The campaign, which started on June 10th 2015, targeted 1714 women in 97 buildings in al-Hamdaniya. Awareness sessions were held to educate women on leishmaniasis means of transmission, symptoms, treatment and prophylaxis. In the same time, the team distributed mosquito nets, supported by ICRC , to 10669 persons. It is worth mentioning that hygiene promotion programs are carried out in cooperation with UNICEF.
