The Syrian Arab Red Crescent is seeking to recruit a:
RFL & MotD Program Officer (based in SARC Head Quarter, Damascus, Abu Remmaneh)
Role Summary:
The RFL & MotD Project Officer will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating all activities related to the Restoring Family Links (RFL) and Management of the Dead (MotD) program at the headquarters level. This role involves close collaboration with branch coordinators, data collection, and ensuring effective communication between headquarters and branches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination with Branch Coordinators:
Act as the primary point of contact between headquarters and branch coordinators for RFL and MotD activities.
Facilitate regular communication and coordination meetings to ensure alignment of activities and exchange of information.
- Data Collection and Management:
Collect, compile, and analyze data related to RFL and MotD activities from branch coordinators.
Maintain accurate records and databases to track project progress, outcomes, and challenges.
- Support to Branch Coordinators:
Provide support and guidance to branch coordinators in implementing RFL and MotD activities effectively.
Assist in resolving issues and challenges faced by branch coordinators in project implementation.
- Communication and Reporting:
Ensure timely and effective communication between headquarters, branch coordinators, and external stakeholders.
Prepare regular progress reports, updates, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Resource Coordination:
Coordinate the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, in collaboration with relevant departments.
Assist in identifying resource gaps and mobilizing support to address them.
- Training and Capacity Building:
Support the development and delivery of training programs for branch coordinators and volunteers on RFL and MotD protocols and procedures.
Facilitate knowledge-sharing and learning exchanges among branch coordinators.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative support, including experience in a humanitarian or development context. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of human resources, financial management, and procurement.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex and challenging environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in Arabic and English, both orally and in writing, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of office management software and tools, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Commitment to the principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
