Eng. Khaled Hboubati, President of SARC, and Ms. Marian Gasser, Head of ICRC Delegation in Syria, opened the first workshop about families’ reunion. The two-day workshop (5-6/12/2018) aimed to shed light on the Restoring Family Links program, which facilitates the reunification of separated families. It brought 25 volunteers and employees from all SARC’s branches together where they get to know the different aspects of the program and gained knowledge on how to deal with the related cases.
It is worth to mention that SARC, in cooperation with ICRC, carried out two successful missions in restoring family links because in situations of conflicts and crisis, family reunification is a right under international law.
