Eng. Khaled Hboubati, President of SARC, and SARC’s senior management members received Mr. Dominik Stillhart, Director of Operation at the ICRC, on Sunday, October 21, 2018. Mr. Stillhart, who came from Geneva to Syria to look at the reality of the humanitarian work carried out by SARC, met Mr. Hboubati on Oct 22nd and discussed the needs of SARC and potential support by ICRC, the main humanitarian partner, in order to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable people all over Syria.
On Oct 24, he paid a field visit to some towns in Eastern Ghouta, where he watched closely the services and activities carried out by SARC, talked to the beneficiaries and had a look at their living conditions and needs. In addition, he visited SARC’s branch in Rural Damascus and met with volunteers from various sections of the organization.
Mr. Stillhart’s visit into Syria is expected to end on Thursday, October 25, 2018.
