SARC respond to arrival families from Hama and Aleppo

Syrian Arab Red Crescent teams in Al Dumayr Sub Branch in coordination with   SARC’s Rural Damascus Branch responded to the families who came from countryside of Hama and Aleppo, and distributed the essential needs for them. They started to arrive on Thursday 2/11/2016 and continue arriving on Friday and Saturday 12-13/2/2016 to Adra Industrial School. A humanitarian aid convoy enter AL Tal city

SARC’s Rural Damascus branch managed to deliver humanitarian relief materials to AL Tal city, where the second convoy of humanitarian aid arrived on 4/2/2016, which included (7500 food baskets, 2500 hygiene baskets, 1800 peanuts butter). The first convoy of relief aid entered AL Tal city on Thursday 2/2/2016, and consisted of 14 trucks presented from ICRC and contained (3500 food baskets, 3500 hygiene baskets). Notes that SARC’s AL Tal Sub Branch distribute the relief materials to cover all the effected families.

Estimating the needs of displaced families in Sa’sa’

within the campaigns of supporting most vulnerable people,  water and sanitation team and the evaluation team of SARC Qatana Sub Branch assessed the needs of arrival families in Sa’sa’ area on Monday 18/1/2016. They assessed the needs of 52 families, who were displaced from Deir Al Zour, in order to provide them with basic materials as (blankets, mattresses, water materials, clothes). The relief team had distributed about 52 food parcels and 52 waterproofs to these families during December 2015, as an emergency response as soon as they arrived in this area.

Distributing relief materials in Ein Al Souda area

To serve all affected and arrived families in Ein Al Souda area, the volunteers of SARC’s Ein Al Souda point distributed relief Materials for 605 families. the distributed materials are: (1440 clothes boxes – 3600 peanut butter – 605 food baskets – 605 flour bags). These materials presented by ICRC and WFP. The distribution process started in December 2015, and continued to cover all the needs of families.

Distributing relief materials the families in AL Mleha area

The volunteers of SARC Rural Damascus Branch  distributed  relief items in AL Mleha area. They had assessed the needs of affected families before and then provided them with the needed materials  on Monday 25/1/2016. These materials were distributed for 262 families and included (262 food baskets-262 hygiene baskets-741 blankets-177 waterproofs-100 kitchen baskets-98 mats-44 baby diapers). The distribution process will  be done periodically for families who live in AL Mleha area.
