Conclusion of a series of activities in Azzan And Blas villages

For two months, SARC volunteers have been taking a long road to reach 419 children in Blas and Azan villages in southern Aleppo countryside. They have held several activities to warn children about explosive war remnants. Volunteers concluded these activities with “Fun Day”  to celebrate children’s commitment to what they have learned. Mothers were also targeted in those activities by an awareness program on child protection from violence and exploitation.

A small room gathering children and adolescents  full of live with men and women full of ambition , hurrying daily to SARC community center in Qatana to join SARC volunteers in their various activities : entertainment activities and education courses ( English , French , Arabic and Mathematics ) to students between 6 and 18 years old including courses for illiterates from all ages and cooking and sport for women . 80 to 90 children beneficiaries benefit daily from the center and 20 women from the 4 monthly courses    .


Eid activity for cancer children in Al-Jama’a hospital

The six years old girl, Aya, whispered, “I was waiting for this day, because  I know you will surprise us” whispered Aya (6 years) to SARC volunteer. The joy reflected in a big smile on Aya’s face is one of the most beautiful things that ever happened to SARC volunteers. At Eid Al-Adha, volunteers of the protection and psychosocial support team held an activity for children with cancer. The activity involved interactive games and concluded with film of children who  had overcome cancer. Volunteers regularly visit Aya and her peers at Al-Jama’a Hospital to temper the psychosocial effect of chemotherapy.


SARC held supportive courses for school students in Swaida


In order to motivate students to continue their education, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent Swaida-Branch held courses for elementary students on mathematics, Arabic and English at Fawzi Mezher and Sulaiman Amr schools in Swaida city and Mamdouh Sriwi School in Ira village. The team also distributed stationery items to 1052 students in cooperation with the Terre Des Hommes Organization.
