Syrian Arab Red Crescent received a new batch of humanitarian aid provided by Czech Red Cross on 11/12/2017. This aid consists of 4 tons of dry milk for children that will be distributed to the due persons by SARC. It is worth to mention that SARC received 3 mobile clinics from the Czech Red Cross last week. Once again, SARC expresses deep thanks to the Czech Red Cross for constant humanitarian initiatives and permanent support to Syrian people.
Through its sub-branch in Harasta , SARC launched a vaccination campaign against polio on 6 – 9/2017. The campaign took place in many centers all over the area and targeted 3400 children (one month to 5 years old) there. It is worth to mention that the vaccines were delivered to the area among a relief convoy in November 2017
SARC managed to secure safe passage to 15 persons, who were missed when Al-Rashedeen explosion accident took place during an evacuation process. It is worth to mention that the safe passage mission was carried out by SARC – Aleppo volunteers on 7/12/2017.
Syrian Arab Red Crescent delivered a humanitarian relief aid convoy to Affrin and tall Riffat areas in the north-west of rural Aleppo on Sunday, Dec 3, 2017. The convoy (18 trucks) carried relief aid supported by the International Committee of the Red Cross and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. It consisted of 7000 food parcels, 4000 hygiene kits, 1000 kitchen kits, 3500 blankets, 1000 nylon mats, plastic sheets, 1100 school bags and 200 agriculture sets (vegetable seeds)
Mr. Khaled Hboubati, President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, welcomed a Czech Red Cross delegation headed by Secretary General, Dr. Josef Konechy, at SARC-HQ where they discussed avenues of collaboration. Mr. Hboubati expressed his gratitude to the Czech Red Cross for its humanitarian initiative, the constant support to Syrian people and for providing 3 mobile clinics to SARC. The mobile clinics were delivered to SARC warehouse in Tartous city in presence of Dr. Mohamed Jarrah, Head of Medical Services and Dr. Ziad Msallati, Senior Advisor for External Affairs, on 5/12/2017.
