SARC participates in the Mediterranean annual conference


Under the slogan “one voice for a stronger Mediterranean action”, the Mediterranean annual conference for Red Cross and Red Crescent was held on 17- 19/10/2017 in Barcelona, Spain. Dr. Ziad Msallati, SARC External Relations Consultant, attended the conference, which discussed many topics related to the national societies working on refugees’ protection against sexual exploitation and human trafficking.


The 9th Humanitarian aid convoy reched Deir Ezzour


Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) delivered the 9th humanitarian aid convoy to Deir Ezzour city on 19/10/2017. The 15 trucks convoy carried relief aid items(10.000 food parcels and medicines) provided by the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the British Red Cross (BRC). SARC will keep on cooperating with its humanitarian partners on delivering relief aid in order to meet people needs in the city.    


Relief aid convoy to Addar Al- Kabira, Homs


Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) delivered 30 trucks loaded with relief materials to Addar Al- Kabira town in #Homs city on 19/10/2017. The convoy, which jointly delivered by SARC, ICRC and UN, consisted of 6700 food parcels, 6700 flour bags, 8700 hygiene kits, 5000 mattresses, kitchen kits, winter clothes, school supplies, nutrition items, medicines, routine vaccines, polio and measles vaccine.


Psychosocial Support activities in Shawaqa m


SARC Psychosocial Support team organized awareness sessions and a vocational training course for 40 mothers along with various activities for 100 children in Shawaqa (Al Khieam area) during the last 5 months. The twins  Rasha and Rashine  (four years old), met the team during the final activities in  an open day for the children and their mothers after providing the necessary services for them.

Fatima( 9 years) waits the whole week to join her friends ( the psycho-social support volunteers ), who come each Monday,  in Al Ghezlania Consulting Center and participate  in their activities  among more than 500 kids and teenagers. In the same time, 200 students from primary and secondary school certificates attend the center to get Maths, Physics, Chemistry and  french language classes. IFRC supports this center  working in cooperation between SARC and DRC.
