42 trucks are heading to Harasta city


Relief aid convoy for 25000 people reached Harasta, Masraba and Madiara areas on Saturday, 23 Sep, 2017. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent convoy (42 trucks), which was delivered in cooperation with International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and UN,  was loaded with 5000 food parcels, 5000 flour bags, baby milk, medicines, children’s clothes, nutrition items and school supplies.


Glasses” new service at SARC clinics“


Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) started on a new medical service by providing children, who suffer sight problems, with colored glasses. This service carries beneficial medication and entertainment as it helps the children (under 14) whose families couldn’t afford treatment expenses to improve their sight and enjoy putting on the colored glasses. 120 children benefited from the service in August 2017 through SARC clinics in Jaramana, Dwaela’a and Al-Tall areas. Moreover, SARC, in cooperation with the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), exerts more efforts to provide the service at all SARC clinics.

The third humanitarian aid convoy delivered to Deir Ezzour


Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) entered Deir Ezzour city with the third humanitarian aid convoy (12 trucks) on Thursday, September 14, 2017. This convoy, which was delivered with dedicated efforts of SARC volunteers from many branches (Tartous, Homs, Hama, Aleppo and Deir Ezzour), consisted of non-food relief items (hygiene kits, tarpaulin, flashlights) provided by United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and personal hygiene kits for male and female supported by United Nation Population Fund (UNFPA), and water & sanitation materials provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
