During the first half of April 2017, SARC’s Disasters Management Unit – Damascus Branch distributed a total of 3350 hygiene kit for special needs at the Maysat center in Damascus. The kits were supported by German Red Cross to reach beneficiaries of 850 new baby borns and 2,500 elderly, in addition to 350 health baskets provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross. On April 23, 2017, Syrian Arab Red Crescent delivered humanitarian relief aid to Al-Yarmouk Camp area in south Damascus. The relief aid consisted of 300 food parcels, 300 hygiene kits provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent.

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent in cooperation with the World Food Program managed to deliver 62,452 tons of humanitarian relief aid to Harabesh neighborhood in Deir Ezzour city on Wednesday, April19, 2017. The relief aid was deliverd via three air drops and contained cooking oil, sugar, rice, lentils, salt, and bulgur to match the needs of 1500 families there.
