Two Humanitarian Aid Convoys Reached Daraya Town

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) in cooperation with UN Offices had humanitarian aid convoy entered into Daraya town in Rural Damascus on Thursday, June 09, 2016. The convoy (9 trucks) was loaded with 480 food parcels, 960 flour bags, nutrients, hygiene items and educational sets.   In addition, in the beginning of the same month, SARC had entered the same area with humanitarian relief aid convoy (5 trucks). Advanced First Aid Courses

SARC – Aleppo concluded an advanced first aid course for 41 volunteers, who had previously passed the principles of first aid course. The course went on for 10 days from May 27rd to June 5nd, 2016. Advanced first aid course included 80 training hours on several subjects, such as introducing the International Movement of Red Cross and Red Crescent and its fundamental principles. It also involved practical applications of the theoretical information and first aid maneuvers.

SARC – Aleppo Concludes Wool Knitting Courses

Since SARC – Aleppo strongly believes in women’s creativity and skills in wool knitting, the Counseling Center for Psychosocial Support (SARC, the Danish project) held a handmade exhibition, basically for wool knitting. The exhibition showed productions that reflect  hard working, art, creativity and cooperation.

Continuous First Aid Training for the Local Community

Aleppo branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent continues on training volunteers and local community on principles of first aid. During the last two weeks, the first aid committee has held 5 courses on principles of first aid for 25 SARC volunteers, 35 Namaa Charity’s volunteers and 21 UNRWA volunteers and employees.
