Kinetic Games’ Workshop to Develop Volunteers’ Skills

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent  Counseling Center (Child Friendly Space) Psycho-social Support Project held a “Kinetic Games” workshop to 50 volunteers in the center. This workshop offered a set of games to be held for children by mobile teams’ volunteers. Such workshops fall within the Syrian Arab Red Crescent – United Nations Children’s Fund Psycho-social Support joint team and aims to train volunteers and develop their skills on dealing with children since children are  the main targeted group by Psycho-social Support joint project.

Distributioning Winter Clothes

The Psycho-social Support Mobile Teams of SARC’s Aleppo branch continue crossing Bustan al-Qasr al-Masharqa humanitarian crossing point in order to distribute winter clothes to the whole city of Aleppo. Today, 21 February 2015, PSS mobile teams distributed clothes with a support from DRC to 320 students in Yosuf al-Athma School in the eastern part of Aleppo.

Activities to Raise Children’s Personal Hygiene Awareness

Since children are the most vulnerable segment in all societies, SARC’s psycho- social support team spare no efforts to support them by its mobile teams’ volunteers. However, raising the personal hygiene awareness is highly important to be focused on by the team. Therefore,  the volunteers held  activities in cooperation with UNICEF regarding  this issue and  targeted 140 children in Al-Moujammaa Al-Taalimi  and Saidah Zeinab Mosque centers.
