Syrian Arab Red Crescent Water and Sanitation team in Quneitra branch has started a sanitation project in Al Jweza shelter at Al Koom area. This project is implementing to serve more than 70 resident family in Jweza, supported by UNICEF. Drilling rot has become bad attraction to insects and rodents; it affected drinking water wells badly, and causes sewage water overflow in residential rooms. Project costs about 7 million S.P, and it is expect to be finished within 25 days from middle of July 2015.
On the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, the psycho-social support team of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent- Lattakia branch organized a mission of various entertainment activities for children. The mission targeted more than 420 children on three days and in many schools in the governorate. The team played with the children and presented them with gifts at the end of each day. It is worth mentioning that the targeted children ages range between one year old to sixteen year old.
SARC’s Lattakia branch responded to needy families who were forced out their homes in Ishtabraq and Jiser Al-Shoughour areas to Lattakia city. The volunteers Distributed 321 Mattress, 535 blanket, 321 Mat, 107 jerry cans, 107 Kitchen tools, 107 Canvas and 107 cleaning tools that supported by the High Commissioner for Refugees UNHCR. Thy also distributed 135-food box that supported by the World food program WFP, whereas The International Committee of the Red Cross ICRC supported 135 canned foods. Syrian Arab Red Crescent- Quneitra branch relief team, in cooperation with Psycho-social support team distributed clothes for children ( 1 – 15 years old.) The clothes which were provided by UNICEF, reached more than 2215 kids since 20th April, in: Jweza, Mshakak, Al Atem, Al Koom, Al Saaeka, Khan Arnabe and Jeba. Head of Management Board of SARC’s Quneitra Branch considered this step foreword to decrease the suffering of displaced people in shelters and residential places and to cover their necessary needs.
Syrian Arab Red Crescent – Aleppo branch’s teams keep on exerting efforts to affected people all over Aleppo city. Within this framework, psycho-social support mobile teams, which are supported by UNICEF and Danish Refugee Counsel, crossed Bustan AlQasr – AlMasharqa Humanitarian Crossing Point to reach the eastern part of Aleppo city and hold a psycho-social support activity for children at Sakhr Hallak School in AlZebdiya.
