The Syrian Arab Red Crescent Relief team in Quneitra branch continue distributing relief materials which contained ( food and health parcels, scrubs, and blankets) with beneficiaries of 8000 persons in areas of Khan Arnabe, Al Baath city, Alkoom, and Jeba. Also Hadar sub-branch used bulldozers to distribute relief materials to the people who were stucked indoors due to the snowy storm.
During the recent severe situations in Al-Wafedeen Camp, SARC’s Al-Boutaiha sub branch responded urgently and managed to transfer the injured people to a temporarily established emergency point. SARC’s team provided the needed treatment and lifted serious cases to the nearby hospitals. Moreover, about 60 cases were transferred to Damascus and Qoutaifeh hospitals with grave difficulty. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent is an independent humanitarian organization, and its neutrality must be respectable all over Syria
For the second consecutive year SARC’s Water Project held its annual meeting on 6-10/2/2015. The meeting is aimed to shed light over the achievements accomplished by the water project’s team throughout 2014. The meeting involved also a presentation showing the Project’s Strategies for 2015 and means of cooperation with the partners. On the other hand, the attendants discussed the work mechanisms along with the difficulties and the problems that encounter the Water Project’s team at work all over the Syrian governorates.
In every December, especially on the 5th of it, the world celebrates the International Volunteer Day. As a part of the physical and psychosocial rehabilitation program carried out by SARC’s prosthetics team in collaboration with the Psychosocial Support Counseling Centre of SARC- Aleppo Branch, the center is receiving the war-wounded and their relatives. The injured undergo physical rehabilitation training before prosthetic fitting (muscle strengthening, Balance, and body status improvement exercises) and after prosthetic fitting (weight bearing, balance, and gait training exercises; climbing up and down the stairs and other advanced exercises).
