Water joint team of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent – Aleppo branch and International Committee of Red Cross provided a generator to water supply center in Old Syriacs area. Water joint team installed the generator and provided a metal cage for protection. The team also works on providing similar generators to water supply centers all over the city to secure garanteed access to drinkable water.
The Syrian Arab Red Crescent – Aleppo branch installed and attached water tanks to a well in Osama Bin Zaid Mosque, Aqyol town in Aleppo eastern areas . The water teams- support by the International Committee of the Red Cross- carried out the mentioned mission. They also fixed taps so people can optimally benefit from tanks. Such missions are ongoing in several areas of Aleppo city as part of the urgent response plan to water shortage.
The Psycho-social Support Mobile Teams of SARC’s Aleppo branch continue crossing Bustan al-Qasr al-Masharqa humanitarian crossing point in order to distribute winter clothes to the whole city of Aleppo. Today, 21 February 2015, PSS mobile teams distributed clothes with a support from DRC to 320 students in Yosuf al-Athma School in the eastern part of Aleppo.
Yesterday, 23 February 2015, Syrian Arab Red Crescent – Aleppo intervention field and health care teams delivered 3000 bottles of benzyl benzoate to SARC’s warehouse in Jisr al-Haj. The WHO supported these medications and SARC volunteers delivered them through Bustan AlQasr AlMasharqa Humanitarian Crossing Point as part of the lice and scabies outbreak response campaign that is held by SARC’s health care, psycho-social support and hygiene promotion teams
The Syrian Arab Red Crescent- AlBoteha sub- branch in Quneitra governorate distributed daily meals for the displaced families who recently left their homes in Al Ghota area. The mentioned families, that total to 312 family, are settled in Al-Boteha sheltering center.
