The main bakery in Quneitra governorate had a malfunction due to the frequent power collapse . Therefore, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent delivered a generator with 150 K.V.R to the mentioned bakery that put it to work with production capacity of 8 tones per day. The generator is provided by International Committee of Red Cross.
The International Committee of the Red Cross Head of delegation to Syria, Ms. Marian Gaser, paid a visit to Aleppo city on Sunday. Mar 3rd. 2015. During the visit , Ms. Gaser and the ICRC accompanied delegation met with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent management and the board member of Aleppo branch. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent – Aleppo branch managed to deliver certain needed drugs to the eastern areas of Aleppo city. The SARC’s health care and field intervention teams had to cross Bustan AlQasr – AlMasharqa Humanitarian Crossing Point to deliver the mentioned drugs. These drugs were 50 streotokinaz vials, 1000 insulin vials and benzyl benzoat. It is noteworthy that some of the mentioned drugs are delivered for the first time to the mentioned areas.
The Syrian Arab Red Crescent – Aleppo Branch exerts more efforts in providing safe water to the affected people in different areas. In this context, the Water team installed 45000 liter-capacity Oxfam tank in Al-Athamiya. It is noteworthy that these tanks, which are provided by the UNICEF, will provide clean water to about 4000 beneficiaries.
The Syrian Arab Red Crescent Counseling Center (Child Friendly Space) Psycho-social Support Project held a “Kinetic Games” workshop to 50 volunteers in the center. This workshop offered a set of games to be held for children by mobile teams’ volunteers. Such workshops fall within the Syrian Arab Red Crescent – United Nations Children’s Fund Psycho-social Support joint team and aims to train volunteers and develop their skills on dealing with children since children are the main targeted group by Psycho-social Support joint project.
