The splint was fixed to treat Hala’s hand, but the heart’s sorrows will be healed by “Your Smile is our Goal” activity launched by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent sub- branch in Salkhad area in Al- Saida city. Hala joined the affected and displaced families on the Eid celebration as she knows that joy is always waiting for everybody and has much of delights in Eid days. The little girl is ready to enjoy the Eid as she got new clothes by the local community and SARC sub-branch, which reached 935 people with new clothes.
Since our children are hope of life, it’s our duty to take care of them, the volunteers in SARC’s Sednaya Sub-Branch distributed lice shampoo in Monib Daher and Ibrahim Kazma schools on Friday 4/3/2016. The number of beneficiaries reached 350 students, and the volunteers clarified the importance of personal care to be protected from these diseases.
On the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, the psycho-social support team of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent- Lattakia branch organized a mission of various entertainment activities for children. The mission targeted more than 420 children on three days and in many schools in the governorate. The team played with the children and presented them with gifts at the end of each day. It is worth mentioning that the targeted children ages range between one year old to sixteen year old.
SARC’s Lattakia branch responded to needy families who were forced out their homes in Ishtabraq and Jiser Al-Shoughour areas to Lattakia city. The volunteers Distributed 321 Mattress, 535 blanket, 321 Mat, 107 jerry cans, 107 Kitchen tools, 107 Canvas and 107 cleaning tools that supported by the High Commissioner for Refugees UNHCR. Thy also distributed 135-food box that supported by the World food program WFP, whereas The International Committee of the Red Cross ICRC supported 135 canned foods. “Robust Return to School” was the title of the activity that held by volunteers of Syrian Arab Red Crescent –Aleppo branch’s Counseling Center for Psycho-social Support. The activity was held for children at Cilicia Kindergarten and aimed to encourage kids to study and motivate them to succeed and pass classes. This message was delivered to children through a puppet show talking about differences between laziness and success and also by performing interactive dances with targeted children.
