Position title:                 Community- based health Care Coordinator- PMEAR



The CBHFA Coordinator (PMEAR) will collaborate with CBHFA coordinator (Technical) to establish and strengthen the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation aspects of CBHFA in action program

He/she will be the SARC focal point for operational and PMEAR aspects of the CBHFA project. The position will be based in Damascus with regular travel to the field


Duty & Responsibilities

  • Support in development of annual, monthly and operational plans for CBHFA activities according to project requirements
  • Facilitate overall monitoring of the project to ensure objectives are achieved in a timely fashion
  • Monitor progress of CBHFA branch coordinators, facilitators and volunteers to ensure quality community actions
  • Participate in the designing, development, piloting and implementation of monitoring and reporting framework and related tools
  • Collaborate with technical coordinator in defining learning needs and development of curriculum and IEC materials in a participatory manner
  • Capacity building and supervision of CBHFA branch coordinators, facilitators to increase PMEAR capacity
  • Support for surveys, focus group discussions and other assessments to ensure quality data collection, qualitative and quantitative analysis, reporting and filing/archiving
  • Support CBHFA teams in providing feedback to communities following assessments
  • Provide feedback on performance of CBHFA teams and collaborate with technical coordinator to award non-financial incentives
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of activities according to applicable timeframes and formats- monthly reports, training reports, Meeting reports, Minutes…
  • Document and share lessons learned and ensure application
  • Conduct regular field visits to support CBHFA teams at branch and community levels
  • Contribute towards project reviews and evaluations
  • Collaborate with SARC HIS team and CBHFA technical coordinator in establishing and maintaining CBHFA data base, including project assets
  • Prepare, monitor and account for budget for PMEAL trainings and field activities
  • Collaborate with Ministry of health, NGOs, UN agencies, community based organizations and other stake holders on CBHFA matters

Qualifications, experience and skills




  • Medical/health or social science degree e.g. medicine, nursing, public health, community development or community health
  • Fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English
  • Computer literacy I MS office, word, Excel and Power point




  • Experience or/and training in project management
  • Experience in monitoring, evaluation and reporting
  • Experience in managing volunteers and training adults
  • Red Cross/Red Crescent knowledge and experience
