Family’s bond challenges the cold winter


A strong will and determination that what have helped Nour (8 years) to fight the blood cancer that consumed her slim body. She is a daughter of a physically handicapped father, who cannot move but still embrace his children. Shy dream of happiness


  The one-room house in an unfinished building at Daf-AlSakher neighborhood (Jaramana) was the only haven for Baraa (12 years) and her family who have fled their hometown in Raqqa. “I am the elder child in the family. I collect plastic items and carry it on my head for my father to sell it and purchase some food for us,” the little girl told SARC volunteer. Blankets are turned into winter clothes


The blankets distributed to the people in Al-Tadreeb Al-Jaameh shelter in Dumair , Rural Damascus  were more than warm coverings as Um Hammad managed to turn it into winter clothes using a needle and thread and her talent in sewing. In the shelter, Um Hammad used the blankets provided by SARC to make a dress for a child and a cloak for an old man there in order to feel warm during the harsh cold winter with the least affordable costs. First Step


Despite being handicapped for a decade and a half, Muhamed (36 years old) has deeply believed that it couldn’t affect his identity nor his potential abilities. Six Months Trip ended up with a Brilliant Smile

Behind This beautiful smile hide six months of treatment that could be only realized by those who know baby Muneer. On his first visit to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) malnutrition clinic in Al-Tall, Rural Damascus, he was diagnosed with acute malnutrition according to all medical checkup criterion.
