The team distributed extra blankets, tarpaulins, and sleeping mats, in addition to 10 thousand winter clothes cartoons and 4600 blankets for children from UNICEF in Hasya and Deir Baalba. Hama SARC’s trainers launched a First Aid training course on 23-25/12/2014. The course aimed to support new volunteers with information about the International Humanitarian Law, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, First Aids and What to do for Causalities of bleeding- respiratory injuries- cuts and breaks. The certificates were handed out to participants on the end of the course.
SARC Homs sheltering team completed the first phase of rehabilitating houses in the old city of Homs. The team distributed, set and installed 240 SOKs (shelter kits) from PU. The team oversaw the work of the carpenters setting and installing windows, doors, and wall insulation in 173 houses. The project targeted the houses of retuning people to BAB Tadmour, Al-Hamidiyya, Bani AlSibae, Jamal Aldeen, and Bostan Aldiwan
SARC-Aleppo field intervention team succeeded in delivering a convey of humanitarian aids to north Aleppo countryside. The humanitarian Aids, which were supplied by UN organizations, will reach east Samaan Mountain and Izaz through SARC committees and points in rural Aleppo. The contributing UN organizations are UNHCR , UNICEF , UNFPA , WFO ,WHO and IOM.
Within the joint coordination and cooperation between the Syrian Arab Red Crescent -Damascus branch and “Damascus Water Corporation” and the partners of the International Movement in the implementation of “Damascus emergency water plan ” , water and sanitation teams observed the execution of thefirst phase of the plan (Al Rabwah area) which is installing of 1 new pump profusely 250 Cubic meters/hour and replaced 2 other pumps.
