On February 14th, 2015 The Syrian Arab Red Crescent – Hama branch teams had an access to the town of Kirnaz in the northern rural areas of Hama for the first time since 2012. The teams provided sufficient food aid for 341 Internal Displaced People and affected families. “People in Kirnaz has suffered lack of the different life-sustaining resources through the crisis. Despite the bad weather, SARC Aleppo health care and field intervention teams accompanied with an ICRC team delivered a collection of health equipment including wheelchairs and crutches to east part of Aleppo city. Yesterday, they also delivered the same kind of equipment to SARC sub-branch in AlSafira and Palestinian Red Crescent Society branch in Aleppo. This equipment will be distributed to the most vulnerable groups and play an important role in providing needed health aids to about 1000 patients.

SARC’s water team installed 45000 liter water tank in Moua’rdes area that located to the north of Hama city. The area has suffered water shortages since October 2014 due to the main water plant disrupt in Al-Hijameh area. It is worth mentioning that the tank will satisfy the water needs of about 15000 beneficiaries. Therewith, the water team continues the installation of another water tank to meet the needs in this areas.
