Dr. Attar, President of SARC, received Mr. Mollekleiv, president of the Norwegian Red Cross

Dr. Abdulrahman Attar, President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), received Mr. Sven Mollekleiv, president of the Norwegian Red Cross (NRC) on Sep 27th 2016. During his three day visit. Mr. Mollekleiv will see over a distribution point in Qatana in Rural Damascus as the (NRC) supports SARC with 128.000 food parcel and 168.000 hygiene kit. Humanitarian convoy to Foua’a, Kiffrya, Madaya and Zabadani

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) started a humanitarian response to Foua’a & Kiffrya in Rural Edlib and Madaya & Zabadani in Rural Damascus. The response involved delivering 53 trucks loaded with relief items to Madaya & Zabadani, and 18 trucks to Foa’a & Kiffrya. It is worth noting that 14 out of the 18 mentioned trucks are to be dilevered from Turkey in cooperation with the UN Offices and the International Committee of the Red Cross. Syria: Attack on humanitarian convoy is an attack on humanity

Press Release: The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the International Federation of Red Cross Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) are outraged by last night’s horrific attack on a SARC warehouse and an aid convoy in Orem Al Kubra (Big Orem) in rural Aleppo. Around twenty civilians and one SARC staff member were killed, as they were unloading trucks carrying vital humanitarian aid. Much of the aid was destroyed. SARC Maintained the Main Water Pipeline in Al-Hasakeh City

Water team of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) in Al-Hasakeh carried out an urgent response in which they maintained and repaired the basic water pipeline in Al-Hasakeh in cooperation with Water Institution there. Throughout three days  of intensive work ( 24-26 /8/2016), the team managed to replace the damaged parts with new one so that the water could be pumped again and reached beneficiaries total to 80.000 people.

Press Release: on the Conjoined twins Nawras & Mou’az

In reference to the conjoined twins Nawras & Mou’az Al-Hashash who were born in Hammouria city in eastern Ghouta of Damascus on 23/07/2016, the official authorities approved the evacuation of the babies by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) to be done the next day (24 /7/2016); but the medical staff who were supervising the case inside Ghouta area refused to allow them out.
