SARC Homs sheltering team completed the first phase of rehabilitating houses in the old city of Homs. The team distributed, set and installed 240 SOKs (shelter kits) from PU. The team oversaw the work of the carpenters setting and installing windows, doors, and wall insulation in 173 houses. The project targeted the houses of retuning people to BAB Tadmour, Al-Hamidiyya, Bani AlSibae, Jamal Aldeen, and Bostan Aldiwan
Krak des Chevaliers (Al-Hosn Castle) recieved for the first time during Eid A-Adha almost 80 children who live in the region within the activities of Eid hosted by SARC-Homs psychosocial support team’s child friendly places project in collaboration with UNICEF in Al-Wadi sub-branch .
For the first time since the beginning of the crisis in Syria, the SARC’s teams of Latakia branch were able to reach to some of ALHAFFE villages, about 27km eastern of Latakia city. These villages have witnessed hard conditions during the last three years. Namely: “Tishreen, Maysalon, Rabia, Deauville, Bkas and Sherquaq”. The SARC volunteers of ALHAFFE sub-branch distributed food and relief materials include: mattresses, blankets, kitchen sets, hygiene kits, jerry cans and mats and to 57 families returned recently to their homes in these villages. SARC-Aleppo field intervention team succeeded in delivering a convey of humanitarian aids to north Aleppo countryside. The humanitarian Aids, which were supplied by UN organizations, will reach east Samaan Mountain and Izaz through SARC committees and points in rural Aleppo. The contributing UN organizations are UNHCR , UNICEF , UNFPA , WFO ,WHO and IOM.
SARC-Aleppo field intervention team continues to provide safe crossing of humanitarian cases through Bustan Al-Qasr crossing point. Six humanitarian cases were successfully transferred yesterday through this point, one of which had received proper medical management and five others were transferred in order to receive proper medical care.
