The joint water project of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and the International Committee of the Red Cross finished the construction works of the river jurf of al-Kasra station which benefits more than 200 thousands people from Rural Deir Ezzor governorate. These works was a result to the abundance of water flow in Euphrate river recently which led to the collapse of the river jurf between al-Kubr and al-Kasraaa water plants. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent- Quneitra branch communication team started many field visits in a step of publishing the RFL program in the governorate of Quneitra, which is carry out by the International Committee of Red Cross in Syria. where the team visited on Sunday 9/11/2014 three shelters in Al Koom and Khan Arnabe areas, explaining how the ICRC response to find missing people and reuniting families separated by the conflict in Syria. In addition, they provided the beneficiaries with contact list for more informations and how could they take advantage of this program to find their lost relatives
Five first aid squads from SARC Swaidaa branch responded to the last events took place in Dama and Deir Dama in northern western rural Swaidaa governorate. On a course of two days 16/19of August, 2014 they provided first aid services for 23 injureis and transferred nine cases to “Watani” hospital in Swaidaa.
The Disaster Management team of SARC’s Hama branch continued its response to students needs in “Muhdi Hamdan school” from the areas of Talaf and Uqrub, in order to help them to apply their exams. The shelter teams, distribution teams, water and psyho-social support teams f Hama branch distributed light chargers, water bottles due to the electricity cuts as well as food materials to those students.
SARC Homs sheltering team completed the first phase of rehabilitating houses in the old city of Homs. The team distributed, set and installed 240 SOKs (shelter kits) from PU. The team oversaw the work of the carpenters setting and installing windows, doors, and wall insulation in 173 houses. The project targeted the houses of retuning people to BAB Tadmour, Al-Hamidiyya, Bani AlSibae, Jamal Aldeen, and Bostan Aldiwan
