Reinforcement Courses for Counseling Center-friend Children

The Counseling Center for Psycho-social Support and in cooperation with the UNICEF started courses for the center’s friends children. These courses are to enhance children’s knowledge and to support school leavers  with reading and writing skills, so to be able to go back to their schools and integrate in the community, Courses has been held over the week and started with 27 children with the help of teachers of basic subjects, which are mathematics, Arabic language and English language.    

Delivering a generator to the bakery in Quneitra

The main bakery in Quneitra governorate had a malfunction due to the frequent power collapse . Therefore, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent delivered a generator with 150 K.V.R to the mentioned bakery  that put it to work with  production capacity  of 8 tones per day. The generator is provided by International Committee of Red Cross.

Operational Update –Quneitera Branch January 2015

The Syrian Arab Red CrescentQounitera branch carried out various activities and services in January 2015. These services were delivered by the branch and its sub-branches in Hadar and Al-Bteha areas.   Relief Syrian Arab Red Crescent tried to cover the affected people’s needs of in almost all the areas in the governorate, they distributed relief materials to 10000 person in the shelters and residents places. Minister of Social Affairs Visits Lattakia Branch

The Minister of Social Affairs, Dr. Kinda Al-Shammat visited the Syrian Arab Red Crescent- Lattakia Branch on Feb 20th 2015. Dr. Shammat met  Mr. Samer Ousta, the Chairman of SARC’s Lattakia branch together with the heads of sub-branches of jableh – alhaffa – alkurdaha and the coordinators team. During the meeting , Dr. Shammat was briefed on the activities and the services that carried out by the the SARC’s Lattakia branch in 2014, and the faced challenges and obstacles. The Minister appreciated the mentioned activities and stressed in the same time on the necessity of improving the humanitarian work in 2015.

Head of the ICRC Delegation Visits Aleppo

The International Committee of the Red Cross Head of delegation to Syria, Ms. Marian Gaser, paid a visit to Aleppo city on  Sunday. Mar 3rd. 2015. During the visit , Ms. Gaser  and the ICRC accompanied delegation met with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent management and the board member of Aleppo branch. The ICRC  delegation along with SARC’s management in Aleppo paid a visit to several  prominent authorities including  the Head of  Aleppo Security Committee, Aleppo Governor, Aleppo Police Chief and Aleppo Mufti.
