PSS Team in SARC Lattakia Branch in cooperation with TDH organized vocational training activities for 114 women at Burj Islam School in Lattakia countryside. The activities included handcraft training that enable them to make some nice pieces of wax and soap, wool and accessories that could be used domestically. The training was concluded with an exhibition set up of these products on 16-2-2017 where bags full of raw materials distributed to the participants.
SARC Lattakia branch carried out a training course on Disaster Management Principles for 30 volunteers. The course contained many subjects in Disaster Management (International Red Cross and Red Crescent movement, disaster concept, gender and diversity, the sensitive environment of conflict, water and sanitation, sheltering, logistic…)
Distribution team in SARC Latakia branch responded to the people’s needs of Latakia countryside. During the two week response the teamdelivered and distributed food baskets for more than 2120 families living in the villages (Zama – Janata – Matwar – Harf Matwar- Bit Qahtan – Karm Ziadieh – Derotan -Harf Almsetrh- Ain Alhayat – Sfvkia). In order to cover the needs of the most vulnerable affected people in #Latakia and its countryside, relief team of SARC -attakia branch completed the distribution of food parcels in (Alzubar-Brabshbo-Ruwayssat qusses –alaqrramh – Alsafkoon – Gurion and Aljbesanah) on 30 January 2016. More than 6,000 people benefited from the distributed items, which is supported by of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
