SARC volunteers in Hasakeh continue the distribution of the seeds grant, provided by ICRC, to 4000 affected farmers and returnees in the southern areas (Shadadi, Markada and Areesheh) and the surrounding rural areas, as well as in Tall Brak, Al-Holl and the southern rural of Qamishli city. The distribution process is carried out according to previous assessments and in collaboration with the Directorate of Agriculture where every farmer gets 150 kg fertilizers and 200 kg barley or wheat seeds.
In conjunction with the frost and cold snaps affecting Al-Hassakeh city, SARC Relief aid volunteers started distributing winter clothes kits to 7010 children aged between 1 and 14 years on 7/1/2019. The winter clothes kit contains a winter jacket, sweater, pajamas, pants, hat, scarf, gloves, socks and boots provided by UNICEF.
Based on the needs of the people in Al-Areeshah Camp, SARC volunteers in Hasakeh have distributed relief aid (2500 food parcels, 3000 baby diapers kits, 256 adult diapers kits) provided by ICRC. The distribution process, started on 19/12/2018, took three days.
In cooperation with the city council in Hassakeh, SARC will transfer, on daily basis, 64 M3 of wastes, using 4 trucks provided by SARC branch in Hassakeh, to a waste dump in Abyad area. The 6-month project is supported by ICRC.
