Committed to responsibilities of promoting Sphere principals, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) carried out the first training course on Sphere’s new edition handbook (2018), which SARC has contributed translating into Arabic. The training, supported by the British Red Cross, brought 32 staff members of all SARC branches and HQ together where they engaged practical and theoretical sessions on 18- 21 Sep, 2019. It is worth mentioning that SARC is Sphere’s focal point in Syrian.

Damascus: 8/9/2019 On 6/9/2019, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent Organization (SARC), in collaboration with the United Nations, has fulfilled its humanitarian duty towards the people in Rukban Camp and dispatched a humanitarian aid convoy to 13.000 people residing there. Since February 18, 2019, SARC has started its humanitarian response in Rukban, where SARC volunteers escourted people coming out from the camp, through a humanitarian passage, to makeshift shelters in Homs city.
