The two-day workshop (5-6/12/2018) aimed to shed light on the Restoring Family Links program, which facilitates the reunification of separated families. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent in cooperation with the British Red Cross held a training workshop about the Geographic Information System on 30/11- 3/12/2018. The workshop brought together 33 coordinators, who work in the central operation management, the disaster management unit and field coordinators all over SARC’ branches. The workshop involved many topics related to the main principles of the GIS, data resources and reports and table processing. It was concluded with a practical session where a comprehensive data project designed based on the gained skills during the workshop.
On 8 December 2018, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent delivered relief aid to al-Muzayrib town in the western rural of Deraa. The convoy of 22 trucks carried 4,000 food parcels provided by the #WFP, and food parcels will be distributed to 4,000 families living in al-Muzayrib town.
