ICRC’s Director of Operation visits SARC


Eng. Khaled Hboubati, President of SARC, and SARC’s senior management members received Mr. Dominik Stillhart, Director of Operation at the ICRC, on Sunday, October 21, 2018. Mr. Stillhart, who came from Geneva to Syria to look at the reality of the humanitarian work carried out by SARC, met Mr. Hboubati on Oct 22nd  and discussed the needs of SARC and potential support by ICRC, the main humanitarian partner, in order to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable people all over Syria. SARC helps Celine have a lively childhood…


Celine a 2-year-old girl had been suffering from a brain tumor since she was 5 months old. Resection was conducted to remove part of the tumor in her brain. The Surgery had side effects and it left Celine diagnosed with Paraperisis, therefore her mother reached out to Al-Bassel hospital in Tartous where they recommended for Celine a standing Table. Consequently, Celine’s mother seeked for assistance from the MIKA team of SARC-HSP who responded immediately and delivered the standing table. WFP Executive Director accompanied with SARC visited Eastern Ghouta


A delegation from the WFP headed by Mr. David Beasley, WFP Executive Director, and accompanied with SARC paid a visit to Zamalka town in Eastern Ghouta in Rural Damascus. The delegation visited a school there, where they planted a cypress tree that symbolizes peace. They moved then to the aid distribution center to observe the distribution process and the needs of the people in the area.
