Since Damages to the water and sewage network in Al-Maidan resulted in many environmental and health problems in the area, SARC – Aleppo water team in collaboration with ICRC have responded immediately and started fixing the infrastructure there.
According to the First Aid Committee’s plan designed for training and qualifying volunteers, the committee completed two first aid courses for 48 SARC-Homs volunteers. Each course took four consecutive days and concluded with the practical and theoretical exam. The courses aimed to acquire scientific and practical skills on first aid methods, as well as to deal with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, asphyxiation, blood hemorrhage, burns, injuries, fractures and many other skills.
On the occasion of the International Children’s Day which marks the 20th of November, SARC-Homs psychosocial support team supported by the Danish Red Cross organized an open recreational day for 245 children. The events included activities related to children’s rights as the right to education, play, health care and healthy food, as well as recreational activities and meaningful team games
