Official Statement regarding the situation in Raqqa City

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) regrets the deteriorating situation civilian in Raqqa city are suffering from as a result of the ongoing events, Specially the targeting of public services facilities and health care facilities. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent appeals to all parties to neutralize these facilities in order to ensure lifesaving services to #civilians are maintained and accessible according To the principles of the International humanitarian law (IHL) specifically the principle of proportional use of force.

SARC & ICRC in joint visit to Raqqa

A joint delegation from the Syrian  Arab Red Crescent (SARC )and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) paid a visit to Al Aqttan Camp in Ein Issa area north Raqqa governorate on August 1st, 2017. This visit came to assess the basic humanitarian needs of health, water and relief where a study was conducted for potential projects related to urgent water supplies and providing more water tanks, jerrycans and water sterilization items.
