When “Abed Al-razzaq Al-Ebeid” left Bab Tadmour neighborhood in Homs old city, he couldn’t carry any of his profession set tools as he works in house painting and varnishing. Nevertheless, he could get a new one by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) through the livelihood program, which is supported by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
During Eid Al-Fitr, SARC- Homs psycho-social support team held several activities for 723 children in Kazhel, Hadidah and Al-Jabriah areas. It is worth mentioning that these activities were held jointly between SARC and DRC.
In order to provide the people of Sahwat Al-Khudr village with safe drinking water, the water and sanitation team installed three new water tanks provided by ICRC, in several places in the village with the capacity of 25 barrels for each, with the help of Sahwat Al-Khudr sub-branch’s volunteers to set the convenient locations for the water tanks.
In order to help and support families in need specially during Ramadan, SARC- ladies committee carried out their activities during fast month (Ramadan). They have provided families with 350 Ramadan food parcels and raw chicken meat that could meet the needs of these families.
