Press Statment about the Attack on Al-Rashdeen area – Aleppo


Damascus, April 16, 2017 For the fifth day in row, Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) teams continue with their humanitarian duty in the four towns (Zabadani & Madaya in Rural Damascus and Al-Fu’ah & Kefraya in Rural Edlib). Humanitarian aid convoy to Bloudan in Rural Damascus


Syrian Arab Red Crescent Rural Damascus Branch in cooperation with International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and United Nations offices (UN) delivered 34 humanitarian relief aid trucks to Bloudan in Rural Damascus, in 28 March 2017. The convoy contained food parcels, flour, clothes for children and adult which match the needs of more than 25K Person. These items are donated by (WFP – ICRC – UNICEF – IOM)


Vocational training activities target 114 women in Lattakia countryside


PSS Team in SARC Lattakia Branch in cooperation with TDH organized vocational training activities for 114 women at Burj Islam School in Lattakia countryside. The activities included handcraft training that enable them to make some nice pieces of wax and soap, wool and accessories that could be used domestically. The training was concluded with  an exhibition set up of these products on 16-2-2017 where bags full of raw materials distributed to the participants.      


First aid advanced course in Rural Damascus


SARC Rural Damascus branch held an advanced course in  First Aid field in Sehnaya and Ashrafiat Sehnaya on 6-17/3/2017. The course targeted 34 volunteers with with various topics like: correct behavior in emergencies, the best way to deal with respiratory and circulatory system, dealing with Skin burns and injuries, in addition to transforming and teamwork. The course was concluded with practical maneuvers training to reach optimal implementation of all information that had been addressed.


DRC and the BRC visit some Facilities run by SARC Homs branch


Head of SARC Homs branch, Dr. Motaz Al Tassi, and board members welcomed Mr. Mike Adamson, the executive head of the British Red Cross and the accompanying delegation and Andeas Laderkal, general secretary of the Danish Red Cross. Dr-Atassi briefed the delegation on the role played by SARC  Homs- branch at humanitarian responses, and the exerted efforts  to reach all vulnerable people.
