Psychological Support Team in SARC Lattakia branch held a celebration in the cultural center of Al-Haffeh in Lattakia countryside with participation of more than 250 children . The event coincided with Mother’s Day and comes at the end of the vocational training for women. PSS team had trained the children on dances, acting and singing performances before the event . The event also included honoring of women participating in the vocational support activities carried out by the team during the last months at the Cultural Center in Al-Haffeh.
The livelihoods support team carried out their first project, which aimed to support the farmers and enable them to depende on their local production. The project included a distribution of chickpea seeds and fertilizer to 306 families affected by the crisis in Salkhad City, Urman village and Almneithra village. The team along with technical support will follow the production stages and its quality in order to help the farmers with needed consultations and solve faced problems. Disaster Management Teams in SARC- Hama branch responded to the families displaced from the northern and north-western countryside of Hama (Maardes, Majdal, Qumhanih, Mhardah, khattab, Al-Sheeha, Al-Sheer and marzaf). SARC Hama had prepared a temporary shelter centers for these families, and organized all needed distributions process of various relief aid items like: food parcels, canned food, blankets, kitchen sets, hygiene kits, mattresses, blankets and solar power lights. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) participated in the 42nd meeting of the General Assembly of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO). The two day meeting, which took place in Tunis on 16- 17/2017 was launched under the title “The Humanitarian Work…. Industry and Skills”, and aimed to tackle the humanitarian situations at countries of wars. Damascus, April 16, 2017 For the fifth day in row, Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) teams continue with their humanitarian duty in the four towns (Zabadani & Madaya in Rural Damascus and Al-Fu’ah & Kefraya in Rural Edlib).
