SARC Lattakia branch carried out a training course on Disaster Management Principles for 30 volunteers. The course contained many subjects in Disaster Management (International Red Cross and Red Crescent movement, disaster concept, gender and diversity, the sensitive environment of conflict, water and sanitation, sheltering, logistic…)
SARC- Sednaya sub branch distributed relief items to the families in Rankoos area on February 12 ,2017. The distributed items contained: (180 food parcels, 180 hygiene parcels and 90 clothes kits for kids) supported by ICRC and UNICEF
SARC health care team in Tartous branch provided health services to 2744 persons during Jun 2017 through their three mobile clinic, which provide free treatment and medicines. The clinics treated cases with chronic disease (pressure- diabetes), Infectious diseases (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, respiratory tract) and arthritis.
350 students in Matn Alsahel’s school were presented with school stationery items by psychosocial support (PSS) team of Syrian arab red crescent – Tartous branch. This step comes after two months of exerted efforts by PSS team to enhance the children’s self-confidence self- development skills . It is worth to mention that the stationary was supported by Terre des hommes Italian organization.
Hygiene Promotion team in SARC – AL Dumayr sub branch visited Abu Said Shelter on23/02/2017 to organize some hygiene awareness. These sessions targeted 40 women and 35 kids, as the volunteers distributed 75 soap bars and hygiene personal items which are supported by International Medical Corps (IMC).
