Syrian Arab Red Crescent’s Quneitra branch had finished a training course in advanced first aid on 20 – 27/8/2015. The course was held for 39 volunteers from the main center in Quneitra and its sub-branches in Hader and Al Boteha. The lectures contained varied subjects and practical training about correct behavior in emergency cases, dealing with respiratory and nervous system injuries, how to deal with heart injures, bleeding, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Practical training on ambulance cars, carrying and transferring ways and first aid maneuver training to reach the best practice of the theoretical information. SAEC- Psycho social support team in Al Boteha sub-branch continues its daily activities in Al Mehanya shelter. The activities varied between (group games and handicraft) for almost 70 children with age range of 5 and 14 years old. PSS team in Al Boteha sub-branch is doing their best to alleviate children’s suffering and train them to get along with their new life style.
Summer holiday is about to end and children will attend school, so the Psycho-social support team in SARC Homs branch organized a sportive display as an end the summer activities supported by The Danish Red Cross. Homs governor, Mr.Talal AlBarazi, and Dr. Motaz Alatassi and the members of the board of directors attended the activity in the Sportive center in Homs. The activities hinted the humanitarian suffering, search for peace, and SARC the humanitarian role . 181 children from collective shelters participated in the activity that was concluded by presents for these children.
Due to the blown sandstorm last week that could affect people with asthma and allergy, SARC-Homs health care team responded quickly and distributed 447 inhalers and 1650 face masks to the eastern and southern countryside of Homs, sheltering centers and people in Homs old city. In addition, SARC-Homs Akrama point distributed face masks to people in street and patients in the dispensary.
