Another Collective Kitchen in Al-Tall City

Water and sanitation-SARC-Rural Damascus team equipped a kitchen inside AL-Shabab shelters in AL-Tall city with all the necessary supplies and equipment as refrigerators and cooking facilities, in addition to supporting the kitchen with the needed dry food components. This kitchen will serve more than 500 meals to the displaced people in the city, and the cooked food will be prepared by the women in the shelter. The meals are expected to be raised to about 800 meals per day. The Third Charitable of Handwork’s’ Gallery is Concluded

According to a competition among  sheltering centers, the third and final charitable gallery of handworks was held in Yassin Farjani sheltering center,  yesterday evening. The gallery contained  many sections that show ladies’ work such as sewing, recycling old clothes and antiques as well as crochet and knitting textiles. In addition, the gallery highlighted the professional training workshops that were held inside the sheltering center for the beneficiaries “ hair style and carpentry” and the project of “ securing alternative meat”. Qualifying and training volunteers for SARC-Homs hygiene promotion team

Due to the deterioration of the public health situations among the affected communities as a result to the current crisis in Syria, SARC-Homs branch established the national program for hygiene promotion in the local communities  in order to provide healthy and dignified life for the affected people . It also held a training hygiene promotion course aimed to support 15 volunteers with the basics and to enable them to plan and carry out awareness activities for hygiene promotion team. SARC-Homs hygiene promotion team intervene in AlQaretain to put an end to Lashmania disease spreading and treat more than 1000 cases.  joint activities of health awareness and hygiene promotion  are launched on the schools’  final day.   Facts & Numbers: 69 trucks of relief aid accessed hot spots areas in April. Humanitarian Relief Aid Convoy to Bluedan Town

In coordination with all active parties on ground, joint exerted efforts by the Disaster Management teams of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in Damascus branch and Damascus Rural branch managed to deliver the first convoy of food and non-food relief aid items to Bluedan town on June 1st 2015. The convoy, which is provided by the UN offices, contained: 1000 food parcel, 1000 hygiene parcel, 300 diapers for olds, 1000 baby diapers and 1000 sanitary napkin.
