Water and Sanitation team of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent – Lattakia branch provided AL-Senn Water Station with a 4000 KVA electricity converter, which is supported by the ICRC . The converter is expected to be operated within five days. It is noteworthy that Al-Senn Water Station, providing water to more than 80% of the inhabitants in Lattakia.
Highlights: 242 emergency cases had been transferred through the last five months 47471 beneficiaries from relief materials during May Building Capacities: Quneitra branch finished two training courses in Disaster Management principles. The first one took place at SARC’s Quneitra main center between 19-24 May, 2015, with 30 volunteers attending. The second one took place in Al Boteha sub-branch between 26-30 May, 2015, with 35 volunteers attending. The Disaster management unit of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent – Quneitra Branch responded on Wednesday 17/6/2015 to the people who were forced out of their homes in Jaba and relocated in Khan Arnabeh and Al Koom areas. Displaced people’s needs were estimated in (Awad AlSaid, Al Naseej factory, western Al Koom) centers. On the same day, SARC’s Quneitra Branch distributed more than 617 food parcels, 800 blankets, 200 children diapers and 500 mats.
