With an aim to have the children familiar and educated on the advertising subject, SARC’s psycho-social support volunteers and in cooperation with the UNICEF held an activity under the title “Time for Advertisement” for 48 children at Tishreen School. This sort of activities motivates the children’s creativity. “Time of Advertisement” discussed how to make an attractive advertisement using simple tools and how to show their positive aspects. Field intervention team and water and sanitation team of SARC – Aleppo branch managed to deliver 2650 liters of insecticides through Bustan al-Qasr – al-Masharqa Humanitarian Crossing Points. This step came within a hygiene promotion campaign in eastern part of Aleppo city. Insecticides are supported by ICRC in the process of SARC – ICRC water joint project. At the same time, filed intervention team escorted three humanitarian cases and provided them safer access on their way back to eastern Aleppo neighborhoods after they had previously crossed to get the needed medication an d medical care.
Syrian Arab Red Crescent – Aleppo branch responded to affected people’s urgent rising needs due to the heavy load caused by people fleeing their homes in Aleppo and Idleb countryside to safer areas. In this regards, a joint team of SARC – Aleppo (health care) and ICRC delivered 600 dialysis sessions’ materials to dialysis center at Daret Ezza in western Aleppo countryside. Those materials were supported by ICRC and delivered to the mentioned dialysis center in two phases through al-Masharqa – Bustan al-Qasr humanitarian crossing points.
Field intervention team along with water and sanitation team in Aleppo branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent passed frontlines to deliver a 400-KW-Siemens engine to Suleiman al-Halabi Sterilization Stations. The engine was repaired by the International Committee of Red Cross. This work came within the ICRC – SARC water and sanitation joint project. It is worth menitioning that SARC – Aleppo teams periodically secure safer access to Water Authority’s workers in and out Suleiman al-Halabi Stations in order keep them on their scheduled shifts. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent’s water project has supported 80% of the Syrian residents all over the country during the heavily prevailing crisis. In fact, the dire need to securing safe water for all people put SARC with huge task of exerting all needed efforts to succeed the water projects and to support it with logistics and human resources capacities.
